Just discovered Fair Game with Faith Salie -- any other fans out there?

I was driving home after a very late night at the office when to my delight I discovered a show I'd never heard before. Faith Salie was interviewing Jimmy Carter on his new book about his mother. It was one of the best (funniest, most insightful) things I've heard on the radio in a long time, and that's saying a lot because there's always something good on WAMU.

Any other fans out there? I wish this show were on at a more convenient hour so I could hear it more often. Maybe it could switch places with one of the prerecorded call-in shows? I can always listen to the Fair Game podcast, but it would be even better to be able to catch it in the kitchen or in the car, where my podcasts can't go with me.

I discovered it around 6 weeks ago and i agree that it's quite funny, satirical, but brings on some interesting folks. like you, the podcast saves me from staying up until 2am!
I like the show too. I was confused by hearing the same show a second time. It looks like the Wednesday show is repeated on Fridays.
As I mentioned this morning, I'm disappointed that the funding for the show didn't prove to be sustainable. I thought Fair Game was gaining some traction and it was one of the few new things being tried that wasn't afraid of being irreverent and edgy.

One of my favorite things about this show is the coverage it gives contemporary music. It's the best I've found so far. Does anybody know of any other options for recent music on NPR, other than the snippets on the flagship news shows?
John,

I suffer insomnia and caught the show at 1 this morning. I am so happy that I will not have to listen to this woman in future sleepless nights. She's rude!

She interviewed David Schwimmer in the show I heard. She told him that his sister has an increased level of testosterone and explained that his sister must shave. Though intended as wit it sounded mean spirited.

Really nice. And I read that she is a Rhodes scholar. So much for her lessons in civillity.
csdiego -- NPR has a decent music site -- you might particular be interested in the "Discover Songs" section , which includes All Songs Considered.

There's also a program out of Chicago that might be of interest called Sound Opinions.
Sound Opinions is great. I'm a huge fan of their podcasts - the two guys that host the show really know their stuff. They're also one of the few shows I know of that play an entire song when they're reviewing an album or a new single - a nice change of pace in this sound-bite obsessed world we live in.
and the NPR music site now has our own Bluegrasscountry.org on it.

I'm checking it out now, thanks.
I agree, those pre recorded call in shows need to go. And Faith is great, very funny
