Questions for Metro GM John Catoe? The Kojo Nnamdi Show, Wednesday July 22, 12-1pm

* How has your commute been affected by the ongoing service disruptions on Metro?
* How would you rate the official response to safety concerns?
* Do you have any specific concerns or stories you'd like to raise for the Metro GM?

On Wednesday, July 22nd, Metro GM John Catoe will join the Kojo Nnamdi Show to discuss ongoing investigations into the accident on the Red Line last month. We'll also discuss safety, overcrowding, and long-term concerns about funding for Washington's mass-transit system.

Why is Metro running 6 car trains on the weekends? I understand the need to single track the trains, but I don't understand why they can't run longer trains to help with the over crowding.
Can it be that hard to change the equipment configuration??

If my wife and I had not been called out of town for two days, she would very likely had been on the train when the accident occurred. Since that time, I take and pick her up from work (she doesn't drive) eventhough she works thirty miles from home because I am afraid of a recurrence of another similar event. I don't know how long it will be before we feel safe aboard a Metro train, if ever. How does Metro plan to restore public confidence in the safety of their rail system now and in the future?

There was a report that Metro inpectors detected the circuit problem before the crash. They reported the problem to superiors and logged into the computer. This is a report I heard on local media? Was there a report onthe problem that was ignored?

Metro changed the pleasent door chimes to an obnoxious one, there is advertising all over the place, projectors, holograms, etc When will you concentrate on controlling personnel, keeping the stations clean, having escalators work all the time, and providing safe rail. Obviously the original Bechtel systems are not adequate, They should have been revised long ago, don't you agree?

Boy, this story just gets worse every day. They should follow the long time honored tradition of the White House and just dump all the info on a friday afternoon and get it out in the open all at once
