You would think that WETA 90.9 would put a "Capitol Fourth" on the radio since they are the producer for it on TV (and yes it is available to NPR stations). You just know all those folks on the mall and all those folks grilling in their back yards want oto hear that as they await and watch the fireworks. Alas as you can see below, you are wrong. WAMU again has to come to the rescue and pick up a Capitol Fourth even if it means giving Ed or Rob the holiday off.

Thank you for your support of Classical 90.9 FM and for taking the time to contact us. Our FM department made the very difficult decision to not include a simulcast of A Capitol Fourth this year. We have not simulcast "A Capitol Fourth" for a few years now due to the fact that the program's content is not considered classical music.
